  • Outdoor adventures

    Eco Wanaka have a wide range of tours and options to offer, making the most of the varied natural attractions in the area surrounding their Wanaka base.

    There are many track walks to choose from depending on your interests and walking fitness. Out on the tracks you can find striking landmarks such Rob Roy Glacier, or Diamond Lake.

    Eco Wanaka also conduct heli-hikes over the alpine lakes or the “Misty Mountains” that were featured in the Lord of the Rings films.

    If you don’t fancy walking or flying, you can venture out by boat for a nature tour on Lake Wanaka  and the Mou Waho Island Nature Reserve.

    Chris Riley and his team of informed and friendly guides will meander through the mountains and forests or over the lakes with you, ensuring you know everything you need to about this astounding area of New Zealand. Chris was born and bred in New Zealand and has a breadth of experience sailing and guiding all over the world, including ice diving in Antarctica and trekking in Nepal.
