  • Welcoming

The people at Azur are a key part of the accommodation experience and the fact that the team have been looking after guests together for 5 years is clear in the atmosphere at the lodge.

Danielle Ingle and Gavin Swan are the managers and host afternoon tea, evening drinks and canapés and will drop you off in Queenstown for dinner, picking you up again when you are ready. The gourmet breakfasts and afternoon and evening treats are prepared by chef, Amanda Tutton. Remy and Misako join the team for evening drinks.

There are just nine private and very spacious luxury villas with floor to ceiling windows and large sun decks that allow for uninterrupted views of the stunning scenery.   The main lodge building has an open plan reception and kitchen area, a dining room and a guest lounge with a wood fire that opens onto the courtyard.

The fantastic people who will look after you here give the lodge a quite different feel to many of the other luxury lodges in New Zealand, and the view from the bath is amazing.

  • Queenstown

Queenstown is known as the adventure capital of the world and has a stunning setting on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and overlooked by the mountains of The Remarkables.

Jet Boating  is the ideal way to venture into the wilderness up shallow river systems that are not accessible to other craft, and the river conditions are the best in New Zealand. Of course it goes without saying that Queenstown is the place to bungy jump, although this is not compulsory!

There are some excellent day walks in the area including the track to the summit of Ben Lomond, which rewards you with fabulous 360 degree mountain and lake views.

At a more relaxed pace, Queenstown also offers lake cruising, fine dining and great wine. Central Otago is the world’s most southerly wine growing region producing top class Pinot Noir and there are numerous wineries in the area.
