An action packed flight
After boarding one of the two small aircraft, get ready to set off on the action packed 30 minute flight. During the flight you will see the majestic sperm whale preparing for his next dive and up to 500 dusky dolphins playfully swimming.
Soaring above Seaward Kaikoura Ranges, towering over 2500 metres straight out of the Pacific Ocean, or orbiting above the multitude of marine animals including resident sperm whales, dusky dolphins, and NZ fur seals and other whale species migrating through; a truly memorable experience.
Occasional whale sightings include the southern right, humpback, fin, sei, Bryde’s, pilot, southern bottlenose and blue whales.

Wings Over Whales KaikÅura operate high-winged aircraft, which allows each person their own window seat and optimal, unobstructed viewing. All whale watching flights are carried out in accordance with Department of Conservation Marine Mammal Regulations.
